It appears as though baby is very comfy in Mommy. I went to the doctor yesterday and I am 60% effaced and 2 cm dilated. So, I have made some progress; however, at this point I am not feeling anything that leads me to believe baby is going to come on his/her own. Other than being tired at times, I feel pretty good. I continue to walk most mornings and can move around the house fairly well to do chores, etc. I have been sticking close to home though in the event that baby decides he/she wants to get this process going a little faster! I am still scheduled to go into the hospital on Sunday night for my induction. The doc said they will bring me in Sunday and then if labor does not start on its own by Monday morning, they will break my water and give me Pitocin to get the contractions going. Wish us luck!!!! Hopefully, my next post will be showing pics of our precious baby finally joining us in the world! :) But for now, you get one last one of me and baby.

Halloween
For Halloween, we went up to Doylestown to see the McGovern girls and their fabulous costumes! Madeline dressed up as a "bloody nurse", Shannon as "Miss Florida", and Sara as Katie Perry. Thank you for letting us spend Halloween with you girls...we had fun!
Oh, and we also have a cute redneck that joined our family. Looks like Rich misses living in the south so he had to bring some of the south to PA with us :)

We're almost there!
I had my ultrasound yesterday and baby continues to do well. Baby now weighs 7lbs. 9 ounces (58th percentile) and the heartrate was 130. We didn't really get a great view of the baby's face as he/she was covering the face with his/her hands. Today, I had my weekly appointment with my doctor and she said I am only 1 cm dilated. If I don't go into labor on my own by November 11th, I am scheduled to go in on Sunday, November 14th for an induction. The doctor stated she does not want the baby to stay in me for longer than 41 weeks due to my gestational diabetes. So hopefully, we will have our little miracle here with us by Nov. 15th if not sooner! We will keep you posted if anything else develops. Say some prayers for us that all continues to go well.....thanks!!!!! :)

In the homestretch!
And we are in the homestretch! I am now 37 weeks, 5 days and all seems to be going well. I have been a bit more tired recently but other than that I feel pretty good. I cannot believe our little one is going to be here within the next 3 weeks! We can't wait to meet this little baby who is having a party in my belly every night! In addition, I cannot wait to be able to see my feet again, walk up steps without being out of breath, and eat something other than chicken and yogurt again! Here are just a few pics of how much baby has grown over the last month or so. I will try to post if there are any new developments as I go in for another ultrasound on Monday, 11/1.

Nursery COMPLETE!
The nursery is complete...well it will be complete once baby arrives....but for now, the decorations are up, the clothes are washed, and now all we do is wait! A huge thank you to my mom and aunt for coming and helping me decorate/clean the room. We received so many things at the baby shower that I just couldn't wait to put everything in the room....I believe they call it "nesting?" Below are some pics of the finished product :)

34 Weeks and Counting!
Today, I had another ultrasound to make sure all is well with baby. It was all very good news! The baby is now weighing in at 5lbs. 9 oz. and is in the 48th percentile for weight (the docs like baby to be around the 50%). The baby's heart rate was 131 (avg is between 120-160). It was very cool as the baby was squirming all over the place throughout the ultrasound....looks like our baby isn't going to be one to sit very still, ha! The ultrasound tech said we are on track to have a 7lb. 4 oz. baby! We are very pleased with all the news since I have gestational diabetes, the baby's weight gain (gaining too much weight to be specific) is always a concern. I will be returning for another ultrasound in 4 weeks as long as baby does not come before that time. The tech also said that the baby's head is down and in position for birth and should stay that way from here on out. Below are a couple of my ultrasound pics. The first is the one from today and you can see a direct view of the baby's face. The second is my ultrasound pics from 4 weeks ago and you can see the baby's profile.

Baby Shower
Surprise! Last Sunday (9/26), our moms and my sister threw me (and Rich and baby!) a beautiful surprise baby shower at Old York Road Country Club! It was a wonderful day where we were surrounded by so many people that just want to love on our baby. We had so much fun and received so many wonderful gifts that our little one will certainly get a lot of use out of! Thank you to everyone who came and gave so graciously to our precious baby! We really do appreciate it. Below are some of the many pictures we took that day!
